ACTIVE REFINERY TANK FOOTPRINT SUBSURFACE GROUND IMPROVEMENT
As part of a larger capital program, an active refinery aimed to expand its footprint for 14 tanks and four pump pads. Before construction could begin, ENTACT performed subsurface soil treatment to address soft saturated soils, reducing potential settlement of the new structures. This comprehensive ground improvement approach ensured the structural integrity of the new tank foundations and pump pads, meeting project objectives and performance criteria. On this project, ENTACT: Installed a series of eight-foot diameter soil-cement columns on a
FORMER OILFIELD AND SERVICE FACILITY EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL SERVICES
Oilfield Excavation and Backfill Services ENTACT conducted remediation activities at a former oilfield and service facility to address soils impacted by volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nonaqueous phase liquids (NAPL), and BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene). This project effectively remediated the contaminated site, preparing it for potential future use. On this project, ENTACT: Excavated 3,268 cubic yards of impacted soils Performed self-hardening cement-bentonite slurry-supported excavation of 13,000 cubic yards of impacted soils Transported and disposed of 25,500 tons of excavated
WASTE OIL PITS SUPERFUND SITE
ENTACT performed in-situ stabilization (ISS) of 45,000 cubic yards of hydrocarbon sludge at a former waste oil pits site located within a cypress swamp. The project faced significant challenges, including the relocation of a half-mile section of an existing stream away from the former waste pits. These efforts contributed to the effective remediation of the site while minimizing environmental impact and preserving the surrounding ecosystem. Upon project completion, ENTACT had: Performed ISS of 45,000 cubic yards of hydrocarbon sludge Excavated
