Greenhouse gas emissions
Reducing our
carbon footprint
carbon footprint
To deepen our understanding of ENTACT’s emissions footprint, we conducted Carbon Footprint Sustainability Pilot Trials at select project sites in 2025. These trials allowed us to pinpoint activities that contribute to elevated emissions and implement targeted reduction or mitigation strategies.
We also expanded our GHG emissions calculations to include more categories of emissions, including purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel and energy‑related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, and Associate business travel. Accurate and comprehensive data allows us to establish benchmarks, develop detailed plans for improvement, and ensure ENTACT as a whole is operating with sustainability at the forefront.

Sustainable mine remediation efforts at Eagle Rock Lake
Our multi-year decommissioning and remediation of a molybdenum mine led to the restoration of Eagle Rock Lake and nearby wetlands in Questa, New Mexico. Using remote monitoring and solar panels for sustainable energy, we minimized our own environmental footprint in the process.
In recognition of our efforts, ENTACT and other partners received the EPA’s Greenovations Award for their collaborative work transforming the polluted site into a thriving recreational zone.
Energy and fuel management
Exploring efficient and renewable energy sources
We are committed to managing energy and fuel consumption efficiently across our offices and jobsites to reduce our carbon footprint. This focus is reflected in how we plan work, deploy equipment, and manage daily operations. We continuously evaluate emerging technologies, equipment advancements, and energy alternatives to support lower-emission operations, improve utilization, and reduce idle time.

Geotechnical construction expertise fuels energy transformation project
ENTACT was pivotal in advancing clean energy infrastructure through an innovative soil stabilization project for a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal expansion project along the Gulf Coast.
Fueled by increased domestic energy production and the need to export LNG, this transformative project harnessed our geotechnical expertise to treat over 2.3 million cubic yards of soft-dredged sediment. The project laid the foundation for the LNG terminal expansion.
