ENTACT SUPPORTS CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING EDUCATION THROUGH PARTNERSHIP WITH PENN STATE

Date: Feb 13, 2026

At ENTACT, we’re proud to support engineering education through our ongoing partnership with Penn State University’s Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) Program. As a program stakeholder, we are actively involved—working with students, faculty, and staff to help connect academic learning with real-world construction and remediation experience.

Through the Penn State CEM Program, we participate in advisory board meetings, recruitment events, and on-campus engagement opportunities. These interactions allow us to connect with construction engineering students, share real-world perspectives from our projects, and engage with future professionals preparing to enter the industry.

We collaborate closely with Penn State faculty and program leadership, maintaining open dialogue around industry needs, evolving technologies, and workforce development. This collaboration helps ensure students are exposed to practical, field-driven insights that complement their academic coursework.

Our involvement is further strengthened by ENTACT Associates who remain actively engaged with the program. Penn State graduate and ENTACT Project Director Chris Lawrence continues to support the CEM Program through mentorship, classroom engagement, and career fairs.

“Penn State does an excellent job preparing students to think critically and adapt to challenges,” said Lawrence. “Returning to campus to share my experiences and connect classroom concepts to how work is actually performed in the field is very rewarding.”

ENTACT Project Director Jon Intrieri, also a Penn State graduate, emphasized the importance of maintaining strong ties between industry and academia.

“My experience at Penn State helped shape how I approach problem-solving and leadership in the field,” said Intrieri. “Staying involved with the CEM Program allows me to give back and help develop the next generation of engineers.”

In addition to our ongoing involvement, ENTACT’s connection to Penn State runs deep. Our company is home to more than 30 Penn State alumni who fill a wide range of roles, from field leadership and project management to technical, operational, and corporate support positions. Their diverse career paths help today’s students see the many opportunities available after graduation and how a construction engineering foundation can lead to a variety of roles. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Penn State’s Construction Engineering and Management Program and supporting students as they graduate from the classroom into impactful careers across the construction industry.
