ENTACT – along with Chevron, ARCADIS, and New Mexico’s Department of Game and Fish – has been recognized with the U.S. EPA Region 6 “Greenovations Award” for remediation and restoration of Eagle Rock Lake in Questa, New Mexico.
The Questa team drained, dredged and relined the lake; replaced the outlet culverts; installed new headgate control accessories; and constructed an aquatic park with recreational facilities around the lake.
The 2.8-acre lake is currently used for fishing and is routinely stocked with rainbow trout. Restoration work has also improved trout habitat in the Red River on Forest Service and National Monument lands near Questa.
U.S. EPA Region 6 developed the Greenovations Award to recognize outstanding efforts in sustainability, reuse, green remediation, and alternative and renewable energy utilization. Congratulations ENTACT team on a job well done!
