ENTACT performed a multi-year residential remediation and restoration project at this high profile site in Southeast. ENTACT successfully remediated 585 PCB impacted residential properties. The scope of work included select and surgical excavation of PCB impacted soils from designated residential properties; backfilling and landscape restoration; management of waste PCB soils in on-site staging areas; and off-site disposal at a TSCA permitted disposal facility. Additionally, ENTACT completed remediation of a PCB impacted city park and expedited the remediation and surface cleaning of a PCB impacted school prior to the beginning of the school year.
ENTACT performed remediation on 516 residential properties impacted by copper emissions from a nearby smelter. Field activities included pre- and post-remediation property documentation; property preparation; utility location and protection; surgical soil removal; confirmation sampling; placement of clean soil backfill; and landscape restoration with sod or xeriscape (decorative gravels and drought tolerant plants). Additionally, ENTACT completed removal activities on 38 non-residential properties including schools, parks, churchyards, commercial properties, alleyways and easements.
