Recently Completed Projects

Subsurface Sheet Pile Barrier Wall Installation

ENTACT completed installation of a subsurface barrier wall at this facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. The scope of work included clearing of vegetation in the proposed alignment; protection of active wells and piping; collection and pumping of water; pre-trenching to clear rubble and debris; installation of 908 lf (22,043 sf) of vinyl sheeting with interlock sealant; placement and compaction of spoils; and site restoration.

Former Manufacturing Facility

ENTACT completed remedial construction activites at this former manufacturing facility in the Midwest. The scope of work included asbestos abatement; demolition of a 68,000 square-foot building and associated concrete slab; on-site processing and off-site recycling of concrete; off-site disposal of demolition debris; in-situ treatment with Calcium Oxide of approximately 13,000 bcy of VOC-impacted (TCE) soils in the upper clay till vadose zone (18-24 ft bgs) beneath the building footprint; re-utilization of treated soils as backfill in the excavation area; placement of a reduced permeability barrier over the footprint to reduce infiltration; and site restoration and seeding of disturbed areas.

Gas Plant Sheet Pile Wall and Recovery Trench System Installation

ENTACT completed a barrier wall installation at this gas plant to prevent phase separated hydrocarbons and/or oily sheen from migrating into an adjacent creek. This project was particularly challenging  due to the presence of an active gas line running through the work area. The scope of work included clearing and grubbing the proposed alignment; pre-trenching; protecting the existing gas line; installation of sealable Waterloo Barrier ®  WZ75 interlocking sheet piles to approximately 20 feet bgs and high pressure jetting of sheet joints followed by application of a cement-based grout (WBS 301) sealant to achieve a bulk hydraulic conductivity of 1 x 10-7 cm/sec; installation of a recovery trench to 17 feet deep; capping the recovery trench and barrier wall; installation of monitoring wells; and site restoration.
